An arieal photo of Windy Acres Farm.
Windy Acres Farm is located at 214 Windsor Rd in Robbinsville. We are a small yet productive ten acre farm, therefore, we can pay attention to the details that may be overlooked in a larger operation. Amy and Michael Giovanelli, owners of Windy Acres farm, have been farming for many years. Our CSA mission, is to provide quality and freshness in the produce that we grow while maintaining echo friendly agricultural practices. To help ensure quality in our offerings, we only sell what we have grown. We will continually keep our members informed and no questions will be left unanswered. Come talk to us, the farmers. Your loyalty is of great importance to us and we will strive to earn it.
Three reasons why to Join a CSA(Community Supported Agriculture)
- Community Supported Agriculture exposes its members to locally grown fresh beneficial food weekly during the growing season.
- Enables members to develop a relationship with the farmer who grows their food and to become aware of how their food is grown.
- Exposes members to the challenges that are associated with farming, so besides bringing home great food, members and their families develop a greater appreciation for their food.
Members will receive 20 weeks of a variety of farm fresh produce, occasionally cut flower bouquets and all natural hand crafted bar soap created by Amy. Members will have the option of choosing either Tuesday or Wednesday as their pickup day starting May 21, 2013. Members will weekly pick up their prepackaged Windy Acres canvas bag with items that are available that week. Each Monday, starting May 20, 2013, members will be emailed a weekly newsletter that will include the items that they will be getting that week, along with recipes and farm updates. When the farm has an abundance of a certain crop, members will be allowed to take from the “extra table” when they come to pick up their weekly produce. Finally, members are invited to come to the farm on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 7:00pm for a farm tour and to receive either a hanging flowering plant or an herb garden (mixture of 5-6 herbs plants in a 12” oval container).
